BEAUTIFUL BIRDS
Wake up to the sound of bird song and delight in their harmonies all day. Over 100 species of birds have been recorded at Uralba, ranging from kookaburras, lorrikeets, wrens and robins to the brightly coloured Wampoo Pigeon and majestic Glossy Black Red- Tailed Cockatoos. Many birds will be seen from your private verandah.
LOCAL WILDLIFE
The biodiversity of the habitat provides the perfect environment for many species of Australia's wildlife. Guests may see wallabies, goannas, many different species of frogs, and even the occasional koala. Watch colourful butterflies flitter around the gardens, and listen to the calming harmonic sounds of our frogs and cicadas. In September, there is normally a very special showing of fireflies on dark you can see from your verandah.
WALKS
There are a number of different walks around the property which cater to all fitness levels. Explore the ponds and gardens close to the cottages, or walk through the food forest, bush tucker and tropical fruit orchards to take in the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. More energetic guests can take a (free) guided walk to the rainforest/creek in the gully to enjoy the serenity of the sub-tropical rainforest canopy.
